History of Our School With the letter of our University Rectorate dated 30.12.1993 and numbered B.30.2.OGÜ.0.70.71.02/1434, the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education was requested to open a Vocational School in Sivrihisar. At the meeting of the Higher Education Executive Board dated 06.01.1994; It was taken into consideration that it would contribute to closing the intermediate manpower gap and the opening of a Vocational School in Sivrihisar affiliated with Osmangazi University was deemed appropriate in accordance with the article 7/d -2 of the law no. 2547, amended by the law no. 2880, and in the 1994-1995 academic year, Computer Programming and Agricultural Equipment and Technology was deemed appropriate. It started education as a machinery department. It had its first graduates in June 1996. Agricultural Tools and Machinery Program was closed due to student indifference, and Construction, Machinery and Accounting Programs were opened in the 2000-2001 academic year with 30 quotas each. With the opening of the Air Conditioning and Cooling Program in the 2005-2006 academic year, the total number of programs increased to 5. The Accounting and Tax Applications evening education program was opened in the 2012-2013 academic year. Our Vocational School, operating in Sivrihisar District, provides associate degree education with Computer Programming, Air Conditioning and Cooling Technology, Construction Technology, Machinery, Accounting and Tax Applications, Accounting and Tax Applications (evening education) programs. Students who graduate from vocational and technical secondary education institutions are placed by ÖSYM, without an exam, in vocational schools where programs that are a continuation of the program they have completed or are closest to it are implemented. Students who graduate from associate degree programs can continue their 4-year undergraduate education if they meet the conditions in the "Regulation on the Continuation of undergraduate education for Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Program Graduates". Our school has a computer laboratory with 80 computers for students' use, an air conditioning and refrigeration technology laboratory, and a machine workshop. Education continues with theoretical and practical courses aimed at providing professional knowledge and skills. Our students graduate with the qualifications demanded by the goods and services sector, equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge, and can find jobs in the public and private sectors after graduation. |
